Seoul, Korea, March 7, 2003 - CommVerge Solutions has recently announced that Dacom of Korea has signed the completion and acceptance of its Education Network project.
The Education Network is a concept of Dacom to provide the different colleges and universities in South Korea access to the Information Superhighway, or the Internet, via the Metro Ethernet Solution. With this, students from the initial nine (9) universities will be able to access the Internet using their university's network, instead of having to go through the network of Seoul National University, as they have been doing in the past. This means, they can have a faster and more efficient network.
CommVerge Metro Ethernet Solution, which was used by Dacom in the past, has proven to be successful and efficient, which gives them the confidence that CommVerge will be able to deploy and carryout the new project successfully. In this particular project, CommVerge Solutions provided the Services for the installation, technical support and maintenance. It used Riverstone routers in metro aggregation for connectivity.
