HONG KONG June 18, 2001 - CommVerge Solutions Limited, a privately-held leading integrator of technology and business solutions for Asian telecommunications service providers, has added to its recent success in the Greater China region by signing an agreement worth with Guangxi Telecom of the China Telecom Group to enhance the capability of its multimedia email system. The project is targeted to be completed by October.
Under the agreement, CommVerge will upgrade Guangxi Telecom's existing email services system to cope with the increasing demand of its Internet users. By deploying the most advanced Internet Message Servers from Mirapoint, a leading provider of Internet messaging infrastructure products, CommVerge will offer total solutions to Guangxi Telecom, enhancing the system reliability and performance, as well as simplifing user management and installation. With message routing, storage, delivery and access functions, Mirapoint's products also are flexible and modular and allow customers to scale according to their needs.

After the expansion, Guangxi Telecom's email services system will be able to support one million email users; each user will be provided with 8Mb of mailbox space. The new system also supports multiple (virtual) domains, enabling customers to have mailboxes under their own domain names.Support for unified messaging is also available on the system.
