The project is expected to be completed by end of this year.
Under the contract, CommVerge will offer a total solution to Chung Hwa Telecom by deploying Avici TSR scalable core routers and Riverstone RS 8000 metro routers as the foundation for development of high-value services in Chung Hwa Telecom's next-generation research network. The deployment consists of Avici TSR equipment supporting up to OC-192c/STM-64 speeds and Riverstone RS8000 supports interfaces including Fast Ethernet, T1/E1, POS/SDH STM-1 and ATM STM-1.
